About Upohar
Upohar (উপহার) means "gift" in Bengali. It is a small, free website for sending a little warmth to someone you love: a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates, or a box of mishti from a Kolkata sweet shop, together with a handwritten-style note and a favourite song.
It is made to be simple enough for everyone in the family, with big buttons, one question per screen, and a Bengali option. When you're done, one green button opens WhatsApp so you can choose who to send it to.
How it works
- Choose flowers, chocolates or mishti, then pick the bouquet, box or sweet you like.
- Write their name, your name and a message. Add a YouTube song if you want to.
- Tap Send on WhatsApp. They get a link, tap it, and unwrap their gift.
A note on sweet shop names
Kolkata's sweet shops are part of the city's heart, and their names appear on our virtual boxes only as a tribute. Upohar is an independent project. It is not connected to, sponsored by or endorsed by any of these shops, and no real sweets are bought or delivered.
